Leaving Auckland at 7 pm. Taken from our balcony on Golden Princess.

Our ship arrived in Auckland at 7 am and by 9 am we were on our City Tour and Maori Culture Show. Auckland reminds us like a miniature Sydney. The Golden Princess is right at the bottom of Queen Street, basically a short walking distance to the centre of the city. The city tour was okay. Because this was a Saturday morning the traffic was kind to us as we drove around the CBD. At 11 am we ended up at the War Memorial Museum just outside the CBD. The cultural show was great especially the way the native people performed the haka. After a drive to a park somewhere east of the city that was dedicated to an ex-Prime Minister. We returned to the Auckland Pier at 1:30 pm and was let loose in the city. We tried to find a decent wifi place and ended at an internet café. Surprisingly nobody had a high speed internet in the city and we couldn’t completely update this blogspot. Returned to the ship at 5 pm and retired early. The ship departed Auckland for Wellington at 6:30 pm. It will take 1.5 days to reach the capital therefore tomorrow will be a day at sea. Cheers.
